After many growing pains, we are having a great time!  Our Thrift Store is open on the 1st and last Saturday of each month.  Furniture seems to be the best seller!  We have found that many people have been thrilled with their bargains of lawn furniture, plumbing supplies, shutters, bar stools, sinks, comforters & curtains, dishes, micro-waves, washers and dryers!  These treasures are donated through the kindness of so many people's hearts!   Please come shop, but also please donate!

Christmas on the River is going to be a big event at our store!  We will sell hotdogs, home made chili, deserts... and remember that delicious BBQ that was always cooked up at "THE PIG"???    Guess What???   Virginia Overstreet is cooking and selling her awarding winning BBQ!!  Supply will be limited so come eat with us early!   Also, Christmas Decorations will be sold along with anything in the store!  
To help us make this a big sale day...please call and we will pick up furniture if you cannot bring it.  Call 334-289-0556 and our President, Rebecca Baker, will coordinate a pickup.

If anyone has pecans they would like to donate to us, please bring and we will have them cracked and then sell in our store.  Thank you all for your support in our efforts to raise money to have animals spayed/neutered and adopted to loving homes.

Bigbee Humane has about 15 dogs being fostered at this time.  They will have to be adopted before we can take on more, so please tell your friends from afar that we would love to place them with a good 4-legged friend.

Our future plans entail many fund raisers and grants, and someday having a Sanctuary for homeless animals  to stay until they can be adopted.  Please keep this endeavor in your prayers.

I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have served Bigbee as President for 2 years, and now I am Secretary; Rebecca Baker is our President; Donna Barham is Vice-President; Cindy McDonald is Treasurer.  We have Virginia Overstreet, Olivialee Hall, Rosemary Shows, Savanna Barkley, Becky Rhodes and Bonnie Miller on our Board of Directors.  Bonnie Miller is Cruelty Investigator for Greene County, and I am for Marengo. Rebecca is such a good leader and works to keep everything going at a steady pace.

Keep us all uplifted in your prayers that we can all together make a difference in how animals are treated in our areas.  All of us struggle and rejoice together, so we each urge you to talk with your city and county representatives.  Let them know that we need them to support us financially and legally.  Also email our state government on issues that you feel need attention.
