Becoming
a Cub Scout |
![]() |
Now that you have your Wolf,
you are one step away from Cub Scouting's highest award - The
Arrow of Light! Lets get moving... The Bear rank is for boys who
have completed second grade (or are 9). To earn your Bear Cub
Scout badge, you must complete 12 achievements. You can pick
the ones you want to do from four different groups. You have a
wide choice because there is 24 achievements to choose from.
These requirements are somewhat more difficult and challenging
than those for Wolf. When he has earned his Bear badge, he may
work on electives in the Big Bear Cub Scout Book for credit
toward Bear arrow points. He may also complete additional
elective credit requirements from the 12 achievements he did not
use in earning his Bear rank. His parent approves his work and
signs his book. When he completes third grade (or is 10), a Cub
Scout may graduate in a pack ceremony to the Webelos den.
