Welcome to Cub Scouts! Your first
responsibility as a new Scout is to get your Bobcat
Badge. There are a few things you must do - and none of
them will take too much time. A
boys first step after registering as a Cub Scout,
regardless of his age, is to pass the Bobcat
requirements. They are: |
Learn and give the Cub Scout
Promise.

To obey the Law of
the Pack.
Repeat and explain the Law
of the Pack.
The Cub Scout follows
Akela.
Akela is a good leader.
At home your father or mother is Akela. In your pack, your
Cubmaster is Akela.
In your den, your den leader is Akela. At school, your teacher is
Akela.
The Cub Scout helps
the Pack go.
Come to all the meetings. Do
what you can to help. Think of others in the pack.
The Pack helps the
Cub Scout grow.
You can have fun when you are a
part of the pack. Learn
things from others. Do things with them.
The Cub Scout gives
goodwill.
Smile, Be happy. Do things that
make others happy. They
don't have to be big things. Little things help, too.
Explain the meaning
of Webelos.
We'll Be Loyal
Scouts!
Give and explain the Cub
Scout Handshake and the Cub Scout Sign.
Say the Cub Scout motto.

Give the Cub Scout
salute and explain what it means.

A salute is a way to
show respect to your leaders. It shows that you look up to them.
We salute the American Flag to show respect to our country.
