TTC Meeting 9/7/04 results:
We voted to have the Grand Prix Schedule line up with our calendar/physical year
(Jan 1 – Dec31).
This is what’s going to take place:
September – December 2004 GP races will be called the 2004 Mini-Grand Prix.
All GP races will be of equal point value. Then beginning in January 2005 we
will have the 2005 Grand Prix race schedule. It was decided that the board would
decide on the details of the 2005 year (points / a fall GP schedule – spring
GP schedule or a 12 month schedule, etc.) this will be discussed by the board
and we will have a decision within the next few of weeks (NLT 10/30/04).
The other main topic was “points” – it was decided
that all races would be of equal value now that we have a number races longer
than a 5K (6). That was the main purpose of “double points” for 10K’s last
year, to draw a few more, longer distance races than what we had (2). As it now
stands, we are back to any race 15K or Longer will be eligible for double points
unless something would come up to change that.
Updates:
